Day Hikes and Shorter Walks around Corsica

Corsica is a great place for walking and hiking, howere just a few walking trails suitable for easy one-day or shorter hikes are described on-line. That's why I've been trying to collect such trails here.

Hike to Monte Stello

A half-day hike from Pozzo to Monte Stello (1307 m) takes you to the highest summit of the Cap Corse and offers you great vistas over the Northern Corsica's mountains. It's an easy hike along a well-marked path, however the total elevation gain is 1030 metres and medium fitness level is required.

Capu di a Veta above Calvi

An easy 4-hour hike with outstanding views over the Calvi Bay from the famous statue of Notre Dame de la Serra and from the top of Capu di a Veta (703 m) -- the highest hill above Calvi.

Walk around Balagne from Lumio to Algajola

One-day walking trip around Balagne region across most picturesque villages of Corsica like San Antonino or Pigna, handful of old chapels, including a masterpiece of Pisan architecture Eglise de la Trinite, and two monasteries of Marcasso and Corbara.

Mountain villages around Bastia

An easy 6-hour walk through mountain and seaside villages around Bastia. The route follows low-traffic yet well-marked roads and is suitable for a bike trip as well.
